IL PIU DÜRO DEL PARK Vol. 5

The fifth edition of “Il più DÜRO del Park”, the event for urban sports, music and skate culture run by SK8PROJECT, takes place on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May at the Platza Skatepark on the Talvera meadows.

The contest, which opens the park’s spring season, is one of the most awaited dates of the local urban scene thanks to a programme full of competitions, live music and cultural activities.

The event is open to people of every age and gender and includes skateboarding, BMX and scooter competitions as well as “no-board” activities. Participants face a range of physical and technical challenges, while reigning champion Luc Grande tries to defend his title.

PROGRAMME

Saturday 16 May starts at 2 pm with STEBO COMET and the “Longest Highest Ollie” and “Plank” challenges. Through the afternoon, contests, technical trials and sports performances alternate until the official awards in the evening. Then live music with Gorilla Pulp, Tetsuo and the closing set by Ritmo Cattivo until 1 am.

Sunday 17 May opens with activities around wellbeing, art and music: yoga sessions, graffiti sessions curated by Murarte and the ping-pong tournament organised by Jolla. In the afternoon the skate competitions return with the best trick sessions and the final awards. The weekend closes with DJ YoungSarr’s final set.

Musically, Saturday brings punk, electronic and experimental sounds, while Sunday offers dub, afrolatin, tropical and psychedelic vibes — one continuous, wide-ranging listening experience.
